Let’s face it, Mamas! Sometimes “playdates” are just as much for the mommies as they are for the kiddos! When I host a get-together at my house, snacks and coffee are a top priority…Sure, I try to make sure I have something special for the kids, but I also love treating the grown-up guests!
When it comes to dessert for the mamas, nothing beats these pastries made with hazelnut spread and a dash of cinnamon!
Check out how to make them!
1 can of crescent roll dough
1 tablespoon of melted butter
1 cup of hazelnut spread
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Step #1 – Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Step #2 – Unroll your crescent dough – pressing the seams together in order to create a complete sheet of dough.
Step #3 – Evenly spread your melted butter across the dough.
Step #4 – Create a generous layer of hazelnut spread, and then sprinkle your cinnamon on top of that.
Step #5 – Roll it up, slice, and bake for approximately 10 minutes!
These are absolutely delicious when served warm!
P.S. You might also want to offer your guests some fresh fruit – This may help them in coping with their guilt over devouring yummy pastries!
In addition to pastries and fruit, coffee is a must, of course – especially for busy mamas! When friends arrive at our house, we like to make sure there is fresh coffee brewing and when it comes to a Mommy Playdate, nothing is better than sitting and chatting over coffee – while also stopping periodically to deal with baby spit-up, toddler time outs, pre-school drama…You know what I’m talking about, right?!
When the weather is nice, the party moves outdoors! See that adorable rustic tray that I thrifted last summer? It is the perfect size for carrying everything I need to take a Mommy Playdate outside!
Here’s How I Do It:
When it’s time for all of the mamas to make their way to the patio, I have everyone grab a mug that I’ve filled with freshly brewed coffee, and we head out the back door – me with my tray in hand!
My “Travel Coffee Bar” is fully stock with:
Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee Cream Singles – Super handy and convenient!
…and to make things even easier, I like to use fun paper products that can easily be tossed following our get together! No dishes for this mama…well, except for the coffee mugs.
If you’ve followed along with me for long, you know my third pregnancy brought with it an intense Dunkin’ Donuts® craving, and I am jumping up and down about their yummy creamer singles! Not only are they extra creamy, extra flavorful (the Caramel flavor being my favorite!), and extra easy to stir in to my coffee, but they don’t have to be refrigerated! This makes them extra perfect for playdates on the patio – Mamas can add as little or as much creamer as they like – at their convenience – without anyone having to run back inside to the fridge!
Caramel, Hazelnut, and Vanilla available at Walmart!
I’m especially excited to pair the creamer singles with the Dunkin’ K-Cups® – a duo that would be especially perfect for our family’s busy on-the-go weekends that require lots and lots of coffee!
